Because of his and other celebrities actions, I am permanately boycotting every work this person produces. I used to be able to separate the actor/actresses from their agenda. Now, it's gone too far. I reccomend you to do the same.
A Rotting Harvest in the Hollywood Garden
Once again the Hollywood elitists are waging their own little war against American Foreign Policy and America’s president, and once again it is Sean Penn standing at the forefront.
By openly criticizing the United States and its president for alleged human rights violations regarding Iraq, Mr. Penn and company have launched a two-pronged offensive in the war against sanity. Not only are they accusing the wrong government for criminal injustices, they are also aiding and abetting a brutal killer, Saddam Hussein.
This is really nothing new; America has grown accustomed to watching its liberal elite rally to the cause of wickedness and defending it with brazen disregard for morality, justice, or just common sense. The only difference now is that Mr. Penn and all the self-proclaimed do-gooders are endangering the lives of every-day Americans.
By creating and promoting the notion that the United States is pushing its will on a little country who poses no threat and demanding that our leaders (and military) stand down, the elitists have succeeded in making bigger the bull’s eye that every man, woman, and child now wears in this country.
Unfortunately, these megalomaniacs do not see reality as defined by Webster’s. They have no perspective when it comes to fighting for anything when a possibility of sacrifice exists. Contrary to what we see in their movies, these actors have no heart for combat and even less resolve to support those who do.
Furthermore, these misinformed (or uninformed) crusaders have purposefully ignored facts and inserted fiction into a script that stands to destroy humanity while simultaneously liberating tyranny from the clutches of democracy.
What America would like to know is exactly what Sean Penn knows. More than that, where is he getting his information? Does he have an inside contact at the Pentagon or perhaps one in Baghdad? Not to mention, does he know the importance of uncovering the truth before going public with opinion? Does he know anything about what he claims to stand for?
Maybe Sean Penn and company should gather some information from other sources than the DNC, Green Peace, and the Sierra Club. Maybe it’s time for them to go right to the horse’s mouth and uncover some data presented by the experts on the situation who have no political agenda.
For instance, Kenneth Pollack, “one of the world’s leading experts on Iraq,” tells some horrific facts of Saddam Hussein’s regime in his book, The Threatening Storm. Pollack explains that “[T]his is a regime that will gouge out the eyes of children to force confessions from their parents and grandparents. This is a regime that will crush all of the bones in the feet of a two-year old-girl to force her mother to divulge her father’s whereabouts. This is a regime that will hold a nursing baby at arm’s length from its mother and allow the child to starve to death to force the mother to confess. This is a regime that will burn a person’s limbs off to force him to confess or comply…This is a regime that in 2000 decreed that the crime of criticizing the regime (which can be as harmless as suggesting that Saddam’s clothing does not match) would be punished by cutting out the offender’s tongue.”
Although these charges fail to address the possibility of Iraq having WMD, where is Sean Penn (or the U.N. for that matter) when human rights violations are being committed? Where is Penn when he is needed?
It makes little sense that someone of Penn’s stature would be so critical against the United States yet at the same time do so little to help it. Ironically, these are the same actions of America’s worst enemies. They criticize, criticize, and criticize, then hang a bull’s-eye on the American population. Sound familiar?
In the eyes of Sean Penn and friends, there is nothing that Saddam Hussein could do that would warrant any type of U.S. response to topple its regime. In fact, the mere discussion by Americans of regime change in Iraq is more than enough to be labeled a “fascist” by those who know basically nothing about fascism. (They love to use confrontational language to “prove” their point, but when their words are dissected they succeed only in exposing their lack of experience, understanding, and objectivity.)
Maybe Sean Penn sincerely believes what he is doing. Maybe he honestly feels that his presence over there will somehow save lives over here.
There can be no question that war should be avoided if it can be. But to deny that there is a time and place to pick up arms in defense of this country is either naïve or cowardly, both of which are sown and reaped in abundance in the gardens of Hollywood.
