Just out of curiosity, you guys have all kinds of international students down there at W Falls, right? Whats the social climate like these days? Do the German/French students ever get picked on? Or is it just not discussed? Or does anyone even care?

Well, there are 19 NATO countries now. 13 of them participate to varying degrees with students and instructors in our program down here. Only about half of the students and instructors here are US. Since France is kind of independent of the military part of NATO, they do not participate (thank God).

The germans, on the other hand, are the second most numerous here behind the US. The issue really does not come up too much but when it does it is pretty civil. Just people debating ideas really...they like to bring up the incorrect point that we should not go it alone in Iraq. I like to tell them to suck it. Then I tell them to take a look at the 13 countries here at ENJJPT and how 12 of them are on board and Germany alone is not, maybe they should not go it alone. Then we walk away and make comments about socialism in europe and all the damn hippies over there. The germans walk away muttering comments about the uptight americans....no harm, no foul. Then every one goes out and parties. The germans here are cool and can be fun to hang out with....

You KNOW the Germans are just pissed THEY aren't allowed to kick-ass and take names...
