I got mail from the IDF today. It's an order to appear for the first round of exams which will end with me becoming a soldier in the IDF. The result of this first series of exams will be a personal "Profil" number, a number which will decide what I am and what I'm not eligeble for. It's in exactly three months from today.

They give me a list of whatever I'm eligeble for, and I can choose according to preference. The IDF tries to give it's soldiers the position they ask for.

Truthfully, I have no idea. I have many different thoughts on the subject. I can do my three years and get out (four if I become an officer), or I can make the IDF my career, being that I do like the army. I might go into Intel, being that I speak English and Hebrew as a mother tongue, or I might go into something else, like a fighting unit. But once again, it all depends o the Profil number I get. Due to certain medical disabilities I have, I really don't know what my number will be, and therefore what options are open to me.
