As if I wasn't already 2/3 dead from thirteen miles of pedaling w/ my backpack carrying my uniform & sparring gear. And one hell of a tough class.
About a mile from home, closing in on Lancaster Airport again, noticed a Heli off to the east, shining it's spotlight towards the ground. So I got the bright idea that I could cross it's path before it crossed mine. Dug deep and used what strengh I might of had left to get up that hill just north of the airport.
Needless to say, either it's speed was misjudged, or they decided to pick it up a bit. And as it was about to cross my path. It didn't have the sound or shape of a blackhawk. Not sure if this one was a Huey, Cobra gunship, or an Apache. Couldn't get that good a look at it, pounded my fist on the handlebar like "darn" after I got spanked.
And finally, there also was a big plane circling around the airport. Might of just been a civilian flight waiting it's turn to land, or might of been a cargo plane.
If thats the case, I so need to talk to someone at Ft. Indiantown Gap and find out if either of the incidents were filmed.
Needless to say, I was even more worn out than the first time after getting up Kissel Hill. This time around a UH-60 crew could have landed thier bird in the field next to it, and pushed it to the top before I got there.
