Today is the day the United States celebrates it's birthday. Today is the day our Declaration of Independence was dated and the intention of our fore fathers to seperate from Great Britain became clear. This document sparked two desperate wars and decades of hatred, but allowed this country to be forged with the highest ideals of any government ever. The decision to make this declaration did not come easy, like any decision that would inevitably lead to war, but no other choice could be found as the British Crown refused to compromise. So was fired "the shot heard 'round the world", and the United States was born.
