So we needed a motor for our demolition derby car, see? The 455 Olds I bought was missing when we went to pick it up, so I got my money back, and went hunting for something else...

Anyway, in the process of getting a motor I wound up with a dune buggy made out of a pontiac frame, roll bar, and a 400 Pontiac(74). This thing is insane! It's a genuine suicide machine! It's a motor, tranny, roll cage, and a seat! I don't know how fast it is, but think about a big old V-8 pulling nothing but itself and about 1000 pounds of tubing and fuel. We've pulled the motor already, because we're dropping a 455 Olds (bored .060 over) in this winter. One thing is a certainty: It will need wheelie bars to run at the dragstrip, 'cause you can't keep the front end on the ground. The only thing between the transmission (TH400) and the Differential (Posi), is a 6 INCH shaft with a CV joint! Get the picture?

LOL!

Sorry i asked. ;)

Just kidding, i'm sure with 455 cubes of motivation it's more fun than live ordnance.

Can I suggest a theme for the final look?

I was thinking of something like "Benny the Taxi" from "Who Framed Rogger Rabbit"...

I'm thinking more like something from one of the "Mad Max" movies. Looks like a fun toy!

It will look better when we repaint the roll cage and bolt the blue bottles to the intstrument panel...
