Here's something equally strange…

Many years ago a group of us had just finished a practical competition and the very last course of fire was about 25 rounds weak handed. I was almost the last shooter on range having got to the semi finals (only to lose when I sliced my hand open trying to clear a stove pipe, don't ask)…

Any way we threw all the gear in the bags and got in the car with two mates.

Now remember I've got a stick shift and it's right hand drive…

As I was accelerating up the on-ramp to the motorway I went to change up to third and my right hand (i.e. the wrong one) came of the wheel and waved around in the air looking for a gear stick that was on the other side of my body..! After figuring out what was going on managed to change up properly, but for about an hour when I went to perform a sub-conscious action with one hand, the other hand would try to do it.

I wonder if I was concentrating so hard with my weak hand that the brain got kind of short-circuited.

All I can say is I'm glad it wore off before I got home and tried to wipe my ass.
