73-year-old charged with selling marijuana from her home

New Orleans police have arrested a 73-year-old woman on charges of selling marijuana from her home on Erato Street.
Adela Peralas was booked with possession of marijuana and possession with intent to distribute marijuana. Five other people were arrested in the operation.

According to an NOPD spokesperson, an investigation revealed that several individuals were purchasing marijuana from Peralas at her home.
The spokesperson said that following the observation, a search warrant was issued and officers found nearly 200 marijuana cigarettes, two ounces of marijuana and two guns at the home.
Those making purchases from Peralas were among those arrested.
