Story

The Philadelphia district attorney's office is upgrading the charges to murder for two suspects in custody in connection with a gun battle outside a North Philadelphia elementary school last week.

The 10-year-old boy who was caught in the crossfire (right) was pronounced brain dead Monday afternoon.

Faheem Thomas-Childs was being kept on life support in order to keep his organs alive.

The 10-year-old was fatally wounded outside the Peirce Elementary School after being caught in a shootout by rival gangs Wednesday morning.

Cathy Abookire with the Philadelphia district attorney's office says the charges facing two suspects in custody will be upgraded from attempted murder to murder.

19-year-old Kennell Spady and 20-year-old Kadeem Johnson were arrested in connection with the gun battle on Saturday. Ninety-four shell casing from six different guns were discovered at the scene.

The search for additional suspects continues.

The very same reason I moved out of San Diego. When a couple knuckleheads pulled the same shit. In the course of 7 months we had 3 differnt incidents involveing schools and guns in the County.

Glad I live in a community know that actually values families and kids.

The ghetto dwellers don't care about kids. Just themselves.

100 shots and only a bystander gets hit. Snipe you should open up a downtown target range. Make a little money and let these goons get proficient enough to actually kill each other instead of the innocents.

handled a shooting at school in new orleans early in my ems career. Kid shot six shot into the school yard with a revolver gangster style and only hit his target abotu 3 feet a way once in the shin. We were luck a whole school yard of kids were not wounded. These kids thing they can limp wrist and arm point a weapon the bullet will do the rest--watching to many rap videos.

And Snipe, did you hear about that possible serial killer running around Philly? If it is a Serial Killer, you up for putting him through a mock-up of Sere School, that he might not find too comedic? <img src=icon_smile_evil.gif border=0 align=middle>
