Guess it's all a matter of perspective, snipe. Not everyone can/should go mil career. But for these other "weekend warriors" it's the next best thing, resonably harmless and just plain fun! To each his own!<img src=newicons/anim_bannana.gif border=0 align=middle>

A-10s, Apaches, Kiowas, Blackhawks, Abrams, Bradleys, MLRS, M113s, Paladins, Patriots, Heavy Hummers...NTC has all that and more.

MILES gear has got paintballs beat by a wide margin as an engagement system anyway.

You paintball guys don't know what YOU'RE missing...believe me. :)

Been to NTC three times in my life.

Quite the unforgettable and illuminating experience.

If it wasn't in the middile of the freakin' desert it would be the greatest thing ever.

Make no mistake, MOPP4 at NTC is a hell that defies all attempts at description, lol.

I don't begrudge you paintball guys yer fun...just explaining why i can't get into it. I kept thinking "Where's the armor? What happened to the CAS? Where's that damned armored recon screen?"

LOL

One other thing...there is no such thing as a sniper paintball rifle, lol.

Find me one with a 500meter range, i might change my mind(probably not...). ;)

Now, now, Snipe, let's keep it in perspective!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> We're not talking square miles of playing field here! <b>50</b> meters of dead-on accuracy would be resonable in this case. But paintball snipers do get into it with gilly suits, etc. Try it...you might like it! <img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

<BLOCKQUOTE id=quote><font size=1 face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" id=quote>quote:<hr height=1 noshade id=quote> i prefer something with a bit more speed in the R.O.F <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote>

With semi-automatic guns and the right equipment, there are guys that can pull 15-20 paintballs per second.

Hell, Stinger's AT-85 can go fully auto... it's magazine-fed too, kinda sweet. Looks about as close to an AR15 or M-16 as you can get in the paintball world.

I just use the standard Tippman, M-95 i think it is. It fits nicely, it shoots nicely, and it's great for waving while running and screaming "Sharron!!!!!!!"

I think you can get out to 100yds. Beyind that is pretty difficult without a hot gun. I was thinking it would be fun to make actual paintball tanks: Get a decent small vehicle with good off-road capability, strip it down, rebuild the body, mount a cannon(you can do it) maybe a coax as well as one on top, and there you go. I figure build a half dozen of them, go to the D-day thing. THat's one thing they didn't mention Sniper, some of the scenario games will get hundred or sometimes a couple of thousand players. Not many true blue tanks like what I'm thinking of building, though.
