I was reading the Washington Times. Apparently Lt. Gen. Sanchez will be promoted to General. The 3-star III Corps CG, Metz, will be his deputy, and the 2-star 101st Airborne CG will head up the training of Iraqi Security Forces. It'll be a US Forces Korean type situation; with a ton of brass within a subordinate unified commander underneath a regional combatant commander. Also, the change means Sanchez will be the second Hispanic General. Not bad for a guy for grew up on welfare, dirt poor. Hard work overcomes all; he's certainly a guy others born to poverty should look to.
