Any ideas on what to do with these idiots who abused the prisoners, and photographed themselve in the act. We try hard to show we a nation of basic human decency and these fools set us back years. Because they did not know it was wrong to sodomize with chemstics, and force prisoners into sex acts. What I find so disturbing is the women who were involved, kinda takes a way the feminist idea only men can commit sex crimes.

The fault soley resides with the Commanding Officers. Those that appoint Soldiers to work with POWS.

The second Fault is that our Policy makers should have prevented this from taken place in the begining.

When a US peace officer needs to speak with anyone in our prison systems. he is scheduled, and observed, monitored, has no weapons, to conduct his non threatening investigation contact.

It would not be difficult for us to gain our intel info the same way. while affording the prisoners Safety and dignity as human beings.

Honestly, despite my feelings about arabs and their ways of life. nobody deservesthat shit. I understand combat and the thoughts that effect us when dealing with an enemy we are fighting.

They were prisoners, they were not combatants. Combat ended when they came into custody. their human beings, and need to be treated as such, despite our ill willed thoughts toward them.

Combat makes us all crazy. I have always felt that soldiers need to do the Combat and a Service needs to be created to do the Detainment Judicial work. This would alleviate any and all burden of these instances from takeing place.

Seriously. What are we trying to accomplish over there. Were useing forces so far out in left field of their training and abilities to conduct prisoner detention.

What needs to be done is what i states above. Leave soldiers in warfighting activities and set asside a New well trained Preisoner detention service to administer the POWS.

Outstanding Job Shitbirds, thanks for squandering the lives and honor for all those fighting to bring peace to the unstable Middle east.

Here we go into a new vietnam. Those SOBS did nothing more than kill More and more Americans in the Future.

I feel every damn one of them need the BCD and Prison time.

Question MUDD what would be the charges and how much time for these fools. Life sounds great to me. I think this is as close to giving aid to the enemy as you can get.

I personally love their new excuse they did not know the Geneva convention. Every rational person should know forced sodomy is wrong.

I agree with you Mudd. Give them the Big Chicken Dinner (BCD) and some serious jail time. How in the heck did these soldiers not know they were breaking the law? Come on all they had to do was imagine how bad they would feel if they were treated like that. This makes me sick and I agree also this will cause more American casulties.
As for our forces doing jobs they are not trained for I also agree. We have Army Abrhams drivers pulling MP duty at my home station. I can't image what it must be like in the AOR acting as a police force when you are trained to be Armor or Arty. What a friggin mess.

U.S. Troops Said to Mistreat Elder Iraqi

1 hour, 48 minutes ago

By SUE LEEMAN, Associated Press Writer

LONDON - U.S. soldiers who detained an elderly Iraqi woman last year placed a harness on her, made her crawl on all fours and rode her like a donkey, Prime Minister Tony Blair (news - web sites)'s personal human rights envoy to Iraq (news - web sites) said Wednesday.

The envoy, legislator Ann Clwyd, said she had investigated the claims of the woman in her 70s and believed they were true.

During five visits to Iraq in the last 18 months, Clwyd said, she stopped at British and U.S. jails, including Abu Ghraib, and questioned everyone she could about the woman's claims. But she did not say whether the people questioned included U.S. forces or commanders.

Asked for details, Clwyd said during a telephone interview with The Associated Press that she "didn't want to harp on the case because as far as I'm concerned it's been resolved."

Clwyd, 67, is a veteran politician of the governing Labour Party and a strong Blair supporter who regularly visits Iraq and reports back on issues such as human rights, the delivery of food and medical supplies to Iraqis, and Iraq's Kurdish minority. Her job as Blair's human rights envoy is unpaid and advisory.

Clwyd said the Iraqi woman was arrested in Iraq in July and accused of having links to a former member of Saddam Hussein (news - web sites)'s regime — a charge she denied.

The abuse occurred last year in Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison and at another coalition detention center, Clwyd said.

"She was held for about six weeks without charge," the envoy told Wednesday's Evening Standard newspaper. "During that time she was insulted and told she was a donkey. A harness was put on her, and an American rode on her back."

Clwyd said the woman has recovered physically but remains traumatized.

"I am satisfied the case has now been resolved satisfactorily," the envoy told British Broadcasting Corp. radio Wednesday. "She got a visit last week from the authorities, and she is about to have her papers and jewelry returned to her."

Clwyd said she had been told about the case because the woman has relatives in Britain.

Clwyd, who said the woman did not want to be named, did not identify the American military unit involved.

Blair's office said Wednesday the envoy had not delivered her report to the prime minister yet so, therefore, it could not immediately confirm her reported findings.

Is this how we intend to win hearts and minds. I am sorry this shit has to stop. I support our troops our president and reasons for being there. With that said a few idiots have painted a target on every US soldier there, and our nation because they have no morals. IF we do not get out a head of this our nation will loose face. These bastards need to be made examples of. Imagin if this was your grandmothers.
