Does somebody follow the Tour de France? I saw it live in the ride of Tuesday, the ride that Lance get the Yellow <img src=icon_smile_dissapprove.gif border=0 align=middle> . It was great, a caravan of cars dropping goodies (hads, bottles water, keycords etc). I slept on a camping for two nights, all around me came people from everywhere of the world (USA, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany and off course Netherlands). I was with 7 friends there on the mountain, waving with a flag, shouting the bikers up to climb for the last 8km.
Yes it was fantastic.

I have been interested in the tour for the past couple of years. I havent got to see any coverage live this year, only tape delayed. Of course the only reason I watch is to see how Lance Armstrong is doing.

I've followed the Tour since Greg Lemond won it following his hunting accident. I rode a decent amount in high school (not enough to get crazy and shave my legs), but enough to keep me interested in it ever since. I can remember when Lance was a teenage triathlete phenom at the same time.

I don't watch it but i do like reading the updates in the local newspaper.

Lance really is an amazing guy. If i'm not mistaken and he wins this one it will be 7 wins......in a row.

I'd rather watch paint dry to be honest.

I like some violence in my sports. Hockey and football for me. :)

I hear where your coming from Snipe, but some of the pile ups are pretty impressive.

And once you factor in the 'gravel rash' it's enough to make anybodies eyes water...

Snipe,
You should watch criterions on tight courses. Lots of pile ups around turns with bike wheels bent like potato chips and plenty of blood to go 'round. Besides, the Credit Lyonnais chicks that hand out the jerseys after the stage are hot!

HOCKEY! Now thats a sport. Nothing I lke better than going to the Ice Dogs games here in Fairbanks. We sit in the second row, with noone in front of use, so we still have a great view, but are still close enough to pound the shit out of the glass when the enemies team gets close. Plus its always great when the puck wizzes off the ice past your head at 60+ mph. Bicycling? I enjoy doing it, but not certainly not watching it.

The only time I ever talk or hear about the tour is when I'm rubbing a (very) liberal belgians nose in the dogshit on another board (although he claims not too, his posturing and posts lead me to beleive he hates americans)... the race itself may be boring, but the Lance has still provided me with a lot of entertainment.

I follow also ice-hockey JackB. I have even a season ticket for the Heerenveen Flyers (Dutch ice-hockeyteam).

The observation lounge. Its a sci-fi (Stargate, star trek, BSG)board with a lot of leftwingers... I don't post as much as I used to just due to the fact that I get tired of listening to them.

Also didn't mean to sound like I dislike Belgians or anything, its just that he is a very liberal Belgian :D

People real into space travel and all that sci-fi crap often seem to be flaming socialists. But then, so is everyone on Star Trek post James T.
