My daughter who turned 18 last January, didnt look at her "A-CARD" and I've been trying since I found out in June to get her a new one since thats her insurance.
Well after 4 Fax's 5 letters a couple of dozen phone calls she still hasnt got a new one.
Well the VAHC opens at 0805EST. So I GOT UP EARLY (0 DARK THIRTY) to get in quick.
I even dailed the number 1 minute ahead and went thru the
"Select 1 ETC.... <img src=newicons/anim_bs.gif border=0 align=middle> to be sneaky.
Well I still got put on HOLD!!! Do to call Volume!<img src=newicons/anim_furious.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle>
So 15 mins of "Use our Website" and "Did you Know?" crap I FINALLY GOT THRU!<img src=newicons/anim_bow.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
I had to give them my "DIGITS" etc...........
Since She's 18 I had to remind them I have POA to talk to them <img src=icon_smile_cool.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile.gif border=0 align=middle>
They told me "Yes she is the system an can get medical treatment" I asked "Then WHY cant she?" I've been told since June that same answer and it dont work"
He said "We just rec'd her School Letter<img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_shock.gif border=0 align=middle>"
I said "I FAXED on Sept 9 and also mailed copy"
He said "Well just Rec'd the schools copy they mailed to us"<img src=newicons/anim_furious.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=newicons/anim_cussing.gif border=0 align=middle>
"So what happened to all the other stuff? I Faxed it to #############
last month"

Then he gives me another number to call, Oh Brother

So I get up and wait 15 mins for that,I should just stay in bed on Mondays

Guy I work with is in the process of bringing his wife from overseas (she's a foreign citizen). I kid you not, this guy was on hold for almost 3 hours!!! We left the phone on speaker so we could listen to INS's elevator music as a gag!<img src=newicons/tard.gif border=0 align=middle>

Mondays are never good my friend. In fact, neither are any day that ends in "Y" when you need to talk to someone that deals with your money, health, or governmental stuff.

You might be a "Bulldog" if: You bend over and grab your ankles when you hear: "EXERCISE, EXERCISE, EXERCISE!"

Oh I know believe me, but She needs the Medical Coverage, I'm getting tried of paying it out of my pocket, I already pay enough out of mine.
But 15 MINS wasnt bad ,I'd just like a STRAIGHT ANSWER. I might as well be "DEAD AGAIN" it only tookm 3 weeks to come alive.

Its like my Plates, I get 1 set free I pay for 1 set . But all Disable Veteran Plates go thru Springfield.
Now I have my truck listed as "Free" the car "Paid" what do they do?
Car is Free and Truck is FEE or the best one is "Both FEE or both FREE"
So you call Springfield (I got the direct number to their office divison" They cant never get it straight so, I usually pay nothing one year the next for both. Its all screw-up.

But I've heard HORROR STORIES from Fender too about getting Green Cards for their Families, Have them sneak over the board it'll get processed faster.

Well I'll join the fray. Back in June the wife got her greencard renewed. New digital picture and electronic fingerprinting were required: it cost 70.00 just for those two things that they call biometrics. Well fast forward to last Friday. She wants to get her citizenship, finally, we have been married for over 22yrs. We go on line and download the form. Fill it out and then proceed to see how much the fee for filing would be? 330.00 dollars. Then I start digging deeper into the instructions and low and behold another 70.00 is required for, you guessed it, biometrics. I called the INS and asked if you had current biometrics on file do you need to redo them and the answer was yes. It is a damn money scam and no freaking wonder a lot of immigrants forego the process. It sucks, the people are rude and everything costs money.
