Now that's weird. I received an e-mail yesterday with 17 pictures that said:

Subject: Pearl Harbor photos found on a brownie camera from 1941

"THESE PHOTOS ARE FROM A SAILOR WHO, I'M TOLD, WAS ON THE USS
QUAPAW ATF-11O. INTERESTING AS I'VE NEVER SEEN THEM ANYWHERE ELSE.
I THINK THEY'RE SPECTACULAR."

One of the pictures is the same one posted by Snipe above because it has the same two guys in the foreground.

Oh well, whatever. The pictures are pretty cool and, if anyone wants to see them, send me an e-mail and I'll forward em to you. It's a 622KB file.

If it's the same set I saw, some of them are aerials, too. I doubt that, at the time the smoke was still rising, ANYONE would have ben allowed to carry a Brownie Camera around. They all were real PH photos though, as far as I could tell.

A sad day in American history, yet one that ushered the US into the Era of Power.
