BR,

I've only got one piece of advice...

Whilst you are a teenager, make the most of it and sh*g like crazy...!

Trust me, by the time you get to your late 30's, working your way through a beach full of tanned nubiles is nothing but a distant dream...

God Damn, you've made an old man cry...

Thats on the "Visit Jerusalem" list. Constantly expanding past Jeruslalem btw. And for this I'll have to bring a few bottled waters with me.

^^^Recanting an incident where it was really hot & humid, taking a water bottle in one swig, and this girl said something to me to try and make me "drown" in the bottled water.

Jerusalem don't got a beach. Tel-Aviv, Herzliya and Netanya got beaches. So does Eilat. I always go to a certain beach in Herzliya named Acadia. It's beautiful, and everyone knows it, especially the lovely ladies looking to get a tan... I love being a teenager

Thats why I said my planned trip to Jerusalem keeps being planned to branch out from the city. Bethlahem, to see the Church of The Nativity. But for repentence sake. I'd "invade" Acadia first.

And hey, if the unthinkable happens, I'd die happy if doing something "sinfull". And would beat Boomer to his plan of taking over the big chair apon not making it into heaven.

hey 44 I dont mind the weight at all, feels good in an assault sling. Also consider it a main reason it will drop a box of 50 winnie wildcats into a 1 inch cicle at 100yds with only 1 or 2 flyers

hey is that gun called "the Lightening" I believe I saw one in an advert with that stock and that mag by that name.

Boomer,

It didn't come as a package.

I bought a stock 10/22 with a wooden stock, swapped that for an Uncle Mike's folder. Bought the banana clips from a local dealer. It's got a match trigger and the mod to lock the bolt open without having to fart around with that stupid little lever behind the mag.

The best groups I've every got is with Lapua Extra heavy match ammo. And that was about 1 1/2" at 75 yards (I always sight in at that range. I can't be arsed walking any further to pick up the dead uns).

With subsonic HPs it likes Eley HP. But will only manage a 2 1/2" group with loads of (10%) flyers.

It loves Blaser, I can remember one night at the range being challenged to blow of a 1k box of Blaser in an hour, loading my own mags. I made it, couldn't use my thumbs for a week

Unfortunately using supersonic ammo kind of defeats the point of the suppressor and I have to use HP otherwise the bunnies get hit, jump up and run off, before going "Oh I'm dead"...

So I'm stuck with the Eley, which is waxy as hell and gums up my mags. GRRRR...

But I like it and it keeps bunnies and wood pigeons on the table.

BTW, What the hell is a woodchuck I've always wondered...

I've shot .22 shorts in mine with the suppressor and all you get is a satisfying "click" and the round is away LOL no noise at all!! I use my air rifle for rabbits/stray cats and such if it's under 40 yards or so they flop a bit but dont get anywhere.
If you want some fun with ANY .22, find a can (not a box) of .22 Remington "Lightnings" (might have been "Thunderbolts" it's been a while) every shot is an adventure cause EVERY shot is at a significantly different velocity ROFL the WORST ammo I've ever shot, I'd only use it in a revolver at short range.

That might work next time some of the Crows that migrate here in the thousands try ripping open a garbage bag at the curb.

Provided there isn't enough snow to build a "fort" around the bags. That frustrates the heck outta them.

birds in an urban environment!!! whooo hoo suppressed air rifle dreamland!! Make some kind of a blind ( a pick-up truck with the window half rolled down is fine) and drop those crows all day long. They just fall over and the others dont care, so you just keep shooting!! Killed over 100 Purple finches (they were hogging the bird feeder and HAD to be thinned out, still plenty of them LOL) in 2 hours , just sitting in the dining room and shooting out through a 2 inch gap in the patio doors

Oh yeah. I even know of a row of pine trees those crows hang out in. And if you run at them and yell as loud as you can, they scatter for a minute or so. In case you like moving targets.

Yes. Almost completely decapitated. One little red "string" an artery I think, was keeping it'd head connected to it's body.

Would explain why I don't recall there being much blood, even if it was just a sparrow.

Usually about 50yds with a single stroke Chicom air rifle and the pathetic iron sigts.

I've done out to 75, but they're just lucky shots.

I used to live on the edge of a housing scheme with house on one side and a strip of woodland on the other.

The woods were used by crows. Well they used to be.

Because even the baby Ruger would have been noticed I used an Air Arms S200. A pre-charged .177 with a monster suppresor. Because there is no spring noise all you got was a 'phut' and to 50 yds it was bang on accurate. I'm talking about 1" reliability.

I used to clean the crows out like nobodies business. My favourite time was spring when the youngster used to hop out of the nests. They couldn't fly, but just wanted to stretch out. Talk about a slaughter. At a rough guess I was taking about 500 crows a year.

They learn fast though. In three years the whole colony moved away...

I used the kill the starlings as well. Nasty little ba*tards. They used to try to make nests in the roof spaces.

I remember one was perched on a neighbours aerial and I shot it and got one of those instant lights out. The problem was the damn thing stayed on the aerial. It was lying there feet in the air, wings spread out for the whole world to see.

It took about 20 shots to knock it off. Mainly cos I was laughing so hard I couldn't see down the scope...

And don't get me started about Magpies...

I just hate them fullstop.

I'll use any method to kill them. Rifle, trapping and once my car at 130mph. That cracked me up. It was trying to gain height and was not doing too good a job (sound like the Hog) I was blasting along an old military road in the Highlands and with a gentle swerve to the right I managed to hit it.

You know how the front grills on modern cars are sort of soft plastic. Well it went more than half way through. It's arse feathers and feet were sticking out the front, but everything else was inside the engine compartment.

I had to pop the bonnet open and pull it all the way through LOL…

But the worst thing was when it went through. It sort of burst and load of guts and giblets sprayed all over the turbo, which was glowing like a mother f**ker because of the speed I'd been doing. The stink and smoke was something else ROFLMAO…

Anyway…

They are noisy (I hate that cackle), irritating and worst of all more intelligent than I am.

The best way I've found to seriously thin them out is again in spring. Wait until the young have left the nest and are feeding for the first few times with the parents. I will tempt them into the garden and then wing a youngster.

The parents will usually fly to a nearby tree and call for the youngsters. But (and I guess it's because they've all been in the nest together) the youngsters will stick together. So wing a few more of them and the parents will eventually fly back.

Blow the two of them away and then finish of the young ones. How to wipe out an entire generation…

Bwahahaha……
