I used to pump enough quarters into these things as a kid, I kinda have a nostalgic place in my heart for the old stand up arcade games. I remember two from my childhood that I want to purchase...One was After Burner, the other was a Submarine game from the late 1970's (cannot remember the name of it) where you looked through a periscope and shot torpedoes at various ships. I remember the little PT boat being a bitch to sink, lol...

Anyone know of a good source to purchase used video games? Found a few on the net, curious if anyone out there knows of a good place to purchase one of those? Looking to put a few in my shop.

Cool Topic Chad...

I'm fairly sure the sub game was 'Sea Wolf'

Not an expert on tracking them down, but I'd say EBay would be a good place to start.

I'd have to say Robotron was one of my favourite old school coin ops and the vector graphics Star Wars was one of the best newer (for the 80's) style.

Star Wars rocked...I also liked Mike Tyson's Punchout...Found After Burner at a used game vendor in Spokane, only wants like $375.00...Might journey over there next week, see how long I can keep it in the shop before the wife finds out..lol

Chad.........check out any arcade outfitters in your local area. I used to work part time with one in Las Vegas and we sold a few machines now and then as the newer games came out.
You might start there and if they arent selling, maybe they can give you the right direction to look!
Most vendors refurbish the old games with a new kit, rather than buying a whole new game...although many games are available for sell.

Good Luck!

EBay has tons of them. Look throughly and you can find one close enough to pick-up. Shipping is generally $150-$200 otherwise. I almost bought an old 1981 refurbished "Phoenix" game a few years back but lost out the last minute. Just check the feedback of the seller. Lots of games sold on EBay are by dealers...

Asteroid was my favorite. I used to go to the A&P just to play the damn thing.

You can get an "Atari Classics" CD with Asteroids, Battlezone, and a few other line-graphics games identicle to the arcade.
