How did you all do with that STORM last night that took out the south side of Springfield?

Damn Super Cell made all those Tornado's and Straight line winds!
I was lucky enough to be on the far Northwestern End of it and only got 50mph wind and driving rain, my Brother to my south about 15 miles got nailed by wind damage, trees down.
I took it worst on that Squall line at 0350 when it came thru, they clocked 70mph wind thru our part and we got damage on that one, shingles, branches etc... nothing like You guys south of here.

That second one came out of no where, I got knocked out of bed by a lighting strike west of the house and then the wind started picking-up, Sounded just like a "Train" I've seen a couple of Twisters close and Thought it was one when the windows started rattling, it lasted about 20 mins, I thought we'd be gone to "OZ"

NOW THESE dAMN WINDS CAN STOP!!!!!!!!!!

I LOVE ILLINOIS WEATHER, YOU DONT LIKE IT WAIT 10 MINS IT CHANGES!

The worst of it was north of STL. Like Goose, we got some nasty wind and rain; some car dealers were nailed by golfball sized hail for the second time in a month. And yes, boomer, the .45 was packed into the bug-out bag. We ever do get whacked, looters will NOT be welcome.

I think we all have the "BUG-OUT" kit .( food,water,etc... ammo,Carbine, pistols,, That Storm did come from MO, and the 2 Cells joined at the Ole, Miss river into one big one!,
Alot more widespread damage over there with I guess several deaths, here it was just more concentrated in the line damage just just in pockets but if you were in the line YOU KNEW IT!

When a Grain Bin of a 30,000 bl cap. gets picked-up ,thrown several 100 yards and twisted like a Beer can, you know its not going to be a good morning.

Glad your alright down there, Man I think this is going to make-up for last years ----------record for the least.
