Alright, before anyone starts pummeling me, I see that football is a hot topic here. However if I may; hockey has been almost been going for a month now I was wondering who out there likes hockey and who is your favorite team? I personally am a Sabres fan and yes their current uniforms look stupid. I have been a hardcore fan since 1985. I have been with them thru think and thin, the no goal and the phantom goal. I got my goalie gear on so fire away.

Avs. Unfortunately their season so far is up and down. I think they should swap Boudaj for Theodore as the first up goalie.

I bleed Red & White. When your from Hockeytown, USA, hockey is like a second language. Even though they aren't doing so well right now.

it's sad, I work for Bauer but I've given up on watching hockey. The Bruins are just pathetic to watch for the last 10 yrs.

After the strike, I stopped watching. Thank goodness we have the Pats and Sox.

What NHL is it "DETROIT RED WINGS"!!!!! Since 1998, I have also the championscap 1998 in my collection. Black with silver. I was allready fan of coolest sport on earth, but without a favourite team till that year.

In my country I have a seasonticket for Flyers Heerenveen. In good times and bad times I sit there and watch them.
I don't see many NHL games on tv, but on www.nhl.com and the site of DRW has also hightlights.

Question to you all: "Are you also going to the NHL games or do you visit other games (ahl or other highschool/local games)?

Dutchy it really depends on where I'm at. Right now I live in Eastern Washington state and the closest NHL team is 6-8 hours away (Vancouver Canucks). I was in Phoenix las October and caught the Coyotes vs. Red Wings. I even went out and bought a new Wing's jersey just for the occasion. But there are some die hard fans for every team. I think more than half of the arena in Phoenix that night was wearing something Red Wings!

We have a minor league team here in Spokane called the Chiefs. Not to shabby. For $15 you can sit right on the glass behind the players bench. I paid $50 to sit 13 rows up in the corner for the Phoenix/Detroit game.

Same boat here, the Bruins tickets are way to expensive for the product they give. We have the LA kings farm team(Manchester Monarchs) 1/2 the distance and cost and I felt the product was much better.

Lets see there is the Rochester Americans, Hershey Bears in the AHL. Only been to a Bear game. The Amerks are Buffalo's AHL team.

Trenton Titans in the ECHL. ECHL champs back in 2005. I also attended Pensacola Ice Pilots and Dayton Bombers when I was stationed near them.

Bossier City-Shreveport Mudbugs CHL, my sister is stationed at Barksdale and I have been to one of their games. Buffalo's CHL farm team.

Erie Otters in the OHL.

I have attended NHL games in NJ, Pittsburgh, Columbus and of course Buffalo (at the old AUD and the HSBC). Still have never been to a Stanley Cup Finals game. Was on vacation with my family in Tampa Bay and my sister was left at home to go and watch the 'NO GOAL" game. Oh and how bout them SABRES!!!!

New Jersey Devils since their days in Colorado(as the Rockies). After surviving a year of the Tampa Bay dynasty and a year of the Carolina dynasty, the Devils will reign supreme and hoist the Cup! You heard it here first.

But the Devils? The only pro sports team that has to have it's victory parades in the parking lot of it's own stadium because no one shows up.

LOL... ;)

Wow! I am glad I could bring such joy on to this board. Both the Devil and the Red Wings are not looking so good to start, but the season is long for a reason. I think they both will squeak into the playoffs only to suffer a first round exit. I must admit I am impressed by my Sabres start. Like I said though it is still early and anyone's race. It is a marathon not a sprint.

Alright I can't take it anymore I just have to get in on this subject. Gooooooooo Sabres!!!!!!!!! Our local team all the way down here on the Bayou is the AA team of the Buffalo Sabres and all I can say is GEAUX Mudbugs and GEAUX Sabres........ Gotta love Mudbugs Hockey. Home season starts tomorrow night against the hated Laredo Bucks...

I will conceide that the Sabres are a power right now, but any Devil fan will tell you that New Jersey is a second half team. So let the season play on and if my Devils fail to win the Cup, I'll gladly take my lumps! (and anything short of the Cup is a waste)

Detroit Red Wings gives St Louis "the Blues" It is early in the season, but Detroit goes for the play offs and the Stanleycup (who don't?)

But mine hometeam lost last Saturday their home game against Amsterdam Tigers. I visit the game and going a little bit sad to house.
Sunday they won there out game, that is better.
