Former President Ford will be laid to rest in his home state of Michigan this Tuesday and there will be a Missin Man formaation flyover. Anybody know if Battle Creek will be doing the mission. This will probably be another first for the A-10 doing a Missing Man flyover for a President of the United States former or otherwise.

My guess would be that something this high in profile would be accomplished by the USAF Thunderbirds although it would be great to see the hogs doing it.

No A-10's. It's F-15's.

well,

i can confirm F-15s over Grand Rapids, MI. i was watching them getting ready to load the body on "AF1" and i heard jets, i muted the tv and still heard them, i got to the window and saw 2 in formation. i heard the same thing about 3 times so there maybe up to 6 of them.

im trying to think where the nearest F-15s are based, either be St. Louis if the ANG still had them or probably Massachusetts

We were told 21 F-15's from multiple locations! At least that was the word from ops last Thursday. I guess they were assisting in the coordination?
