Former President Ford will be laid to rest in his home state of Michigan this Tuesday and there will be a Missin Man formaation flyover. Anybody know if Battle Creek will be doing the mission. This will probably be another first for the A-10 doing a Missing Man flyover for a President of the United States former or otherwise. "GLAD TO HAVE BEEN THERE AND HAVE BEEN PROUD TO HAVE SERVERED" |

My guess would be that something this high in profile would be accomplished by the USAF Thunderbirds although it would be great to see the hogs doing it. Faugh ah Ballaugh -Clear The Way Visit FlightChief Aviation |

No A-10's. It's F-15's. |

well, i can confirm F-15s over Grand Rapids, MI. i was watching them getting ready to load the body on "AF1" and i heard jets, i muted the tv and still heard them, i got to the window and saw 2 in formation. i heard the same thing about 3 times so there maybe up to 6 of them. im trying to think where the nearest F-15s are based, either be St. Louis if the ANG still had them or probably Massachusetts |

We were told 21 F-15's from multiple locations! At least that was the word from ops last Thursday. I guess they were assisting in the coordination? |
