What will be the problems with working with XP and the New Vista?
Anyone know of compatibility issues?

Not sure I'd bother upgrading Goose. By the time you get done with all the requirements (at least 1gig of RAM, 128 meg video card, at least 30 gig of hard drive space) you'd be better off just buying a new computer. Plus, given Microshit's track record with new launches..need I say more?

Always a wise choice to wait for a while to see what the fall out from a new windows OS is going to be. I myself wouldnt get it unless it came with a new computer that was optimized for it. Every new OS that windows has always been extremely needy when it comes to computer resources.

I wasnt really thinking of upgrading this one, but if I get a laptop I was wondering if I would be able to run my files I have on disk(VA records,Medical, etc..) on it.
I have 2GB of memory now on this one and 160G hard drive plus my Graphics card is 128MB .
I guess I should of asked \"Would their be a problem networking the 2 systems?
I dont want to use a laptop to \"Store\" alot of stuff really just to play on the internet, e-mail and if I need or want to down load stuff I was planning on sending it to the PC at home.
Plus my Fax is set-up at home thru the Computer or I can use it without it can do it either way.
But no,before I would go out and buy just the OS I feel like you both do,just buy another computer.

Sitting in the Hospital for 5 days so they can give me 1 IV a day for 5 days and Their TV SUCKS! Reading is a strain(I guess I could get so new audio books) I rather spend the time editing my photo collection (I put them on Flash Drives plus CD/DVD's) its just less room in the safety deposit box and when you can get 3 1G PNY Flashdrives for 39.00 bucks (on sell) I can really scan everything! All our records .

Thats what I'm looking at.

What! Linux!? NOOOOOOOO!!!!! :D I'd love to learn Unix/Linux Administration. Big $$$$ on the outside.

And Goose, it would behoove you to wait a while to upgrade to Vista.

I've thought about Canada myself. Oh, Vista is now available for purchase. So if you feel the need to reload your operating system numerous times, you can buy it now.
