Allow me to rant about some possible incredibly rediculous Homeland Security assclownery:

If your observant, you might of seen me mention some care packages meant for the 82nd Airborne Division at a forward operating base in Afghanistan that doesn't have a PX.

Well I sent two boxes out to them at least two weeks ago, and todayone of them was returned to me marked with an \"invalid address\", and an \"x-rayed\" sticker attached to it.

First thing I did was e-mail the former member of the 82nd who gave me this address & asked if the APO was still valid, and I'm waiting to see what he says.

Pending his reply to my e-mail I'll either find out that the Talban overran this FOB & thus made the address invalid..or else some shit sucking, pencil pushing, rear echelon mother fucker peice of shit -possibly the same ones who thought Israel was a Muslim country when I tried mailing Big Ross a care ackage- decided to charge me 11.00 & change to give them a care package, just so they could x-ray it and send it back to me.

And needless to say this BULLSHIT! wouldn't have been the first time someone stuck their nose in my business with the 82nd (or the Rangers, or the IDF) like they were a motherfucking terrorist group!

Sooo..my first order of business on Monday will be to walk into the Post Office wit that box, demand I get the money I paid them for that care package back, and advise them...or anyone else who might of decided to act like a grossly negligent schoolyard bully...to learn the difference between terrorists, and the people fighting them halfway around the fucking world.

End rant! And I think I've dealt with enough gross negligence to start confronting a few people pulling that shit.

You might hook up with someone in the area and try to get it sent from a military post office. At least they'll know what an APO is.

Lunatock,

I regret your problem but it seems that the posting services are crap these days. Not sure if Homeland Security has to do with it (in my case).

I sent a buddy in Iraq a X-mass card Late November and it arrived yesterday. :?

I also sent a package to a buddy in Norfolk around X-mass and its still hasn't arrived. No doubt the country i live in must be a high risk nation.
(The Netherlands)

Sending me stuff from the US takes 4 days but sending stuff into the US takes ???????
Kind of weird in this digital age : i thought sailing ships and horseback would have been over by now..... [puke]

Or that Israel is not a Muslim country. I still haven't gotten over that claim when I sent BR his girly mags
