Hey Sheltie,

I didn't see you at the Farm Progress Show last week ,but alot of the new
\"CAT\" equipment.
Man some of that stuff was \"MONSTER HUGE!!!!!!\"
When a combine cost more money than my family's farm cost altogether including the land,house,and equipment thats $$$$$$$$$$$$$

But the CHEAP ass's wouldn't give me a DAMN HAT!

Dad and me had a pretty good time,tooling around in my cart I just couldn't believe the Equipment and the people from every where in the World. I talked to Germany's, Japanese ,Brazilians ,Canadians (I blew off the French and the Chinese's) even ran into a couple of Aussies .

So it was our first time ever going to one, I'll go again for sure in 2009.

I didn't know anything of this show until the morning of the last day, overheard a couple the old farmers at the post office!

I was going to go with one of the farmers that isnt much older than me.....lol.......but his wife pulled him at last minute to run into Chicago for some Operation S.O.S. thing she does. Can't bitch about that one. Their a returning VET's support group doing a wondferful job.


Matter of fact, a young Marine from Dwight lost his life earlier this year in Iraq. IED if I remember correctly?
ANyway this S.O.S. outfit is trying to help the family and rebuild their family home as it is older and needs a few things. Apparently the mother wasnts evrything as is for the memories and keeps telling them to put it to use elsewhere. What a struggle huh?


Yeah Sis N LAw and I were discussing that show. She said her Dad used to go all the time, before it got \"BIG\" as it is now. She said we'll go next time, but always on the last day of the show.......seems they give away more goodies on last day instead of having to carry them home with them! LOL

Your right they sell all the stuff they bring to the last show \"CHEAP\" , alot of Great Deals on vehicles and equipment, If I had the money I would of went back and picked up a new mower.
The deals they give during the show are pretty damn good,as much as 2-3000 off the price on some models.
Giving away trucks left and right so on.

2009is when they'll be back.
