Post subject:  Prayer request?

Hey guys-
Don't know how many of you are the \"prayin' type\", but if you could send some prayers up for my 7 year old boy, it would be greatly appreciated.

On September 2nd, the day we were moving into our new home, we drove our then 5-week old daughter to the emergency room for what we thought was simple dehydration.

Turns out her brain had severe bleeding, and she died after a long hard week in the pediatric intensive care unit. The doctors still don't know what caused her brain to bleed, except for, as one Dr. put it, \"extremely bad luck\".

Anyway, our 7 year old boy misses her, and is old enough to understand the finality of death, but not the hows and whys.

So if you could all send up a prayer for his comfort and peace while trying to understand it all, it would mean a lot to my wife and I. God is good and is sustaining us through this....

Thanks--
:(

My condolence to you, your wife and your son.
Maybe a tip: Give him a toy (a teddybear or something) from your daughter. Everytime when he miss his little sister he can maybe share his tears with it.

Thanks guys. Yeah, he has picked out 3 of her things and sleeps with one of her blankets. These things help for sure.

My condolences for you all. I'm also not much in the prayer department, but I'm willing to help out. Consider it done. My best to you and yours.

We laid her to rest Saturday. We let 42 balloons fly, 1 for each day she was alive. It wasn't sunny, so they flew until they were just too far up to see. About 5 minutes after we let them go, our 4-yr old asks, \"which one is mine?\" Gotta love the mind of a 4-yr old!! We let our boys put some handfulls of dirt on her casket. I think that helped them quite a bit...

Thanks again guys...God hears prayers from the ones who aren't the \"prayin'-type\" too. And we appreciate them all. :D
