Post subject:	NO PHONE SERVICE
We'll I dont know if anyone cares or not but I got to Blow-off some steam Every since Jan ,26 2008 my land line hasn't worked right. For 3 days I could actually hear my neighbors talking on the phone when I picked-up my line. Actually it was fun screwing with them , They thought their kids were listening in and then \"Get Off the PHONE YOU KIDS\" Then on the 30th it went from that to \"A CAT CAUGHT IN THE DRIER WITH A DOG RUNNING ON A BLACKBOARD\" it is terrible . So I call AT&T, tell them they said \"Oh we have a cable problem it will be fixed by the 2nd of Feb, no problem, Not! I called on the 4th to tell them they said \"Well its a little bigger then with thought but it will be fixed by the 7th, (Ok) Not! I call on the 8th and they said \"Its a Massive Failure in California\" I live in Illinois, so he says \"I'll transfer your number your cell number. It will take until the 22nd to fix it. So Ok I can use my cell phone ,just forwarding the number to it. Well the 22nd, NOT still BUT WORST , I call them back and they go, \"Well your not the only one be patient ! I said \"I'm being patient I'm tried of not being able to use my FAX machine .\" So if this isn't fixed now so when? They reply \"March 7th\" for sure, Ok. So I call Customer billing \"Hey since my PHONE LINE IS OUT I cant use it I'M NOT PAYING MY BILL! The lady goes \"Well I don't see a work order?\" I tell her to \"Look at my FILE. She calls the repair people while I'm on hold for 10 mins, then I get switched to someone else and go thru the WHOLE THING AGAIN\" The Rep goes \"I'll have to put you on Hold\" I said \"I don't think so! Your cost me money! So he says \"You have my word it will be short\" I said Ok, but make it quick\" 5 mins he comes back \"Ok we see you have had a problem and a Great Customer so we'll credit your account (CJ had already paid it) Fine. Well I forget about my cell phone plan, I got only 500 mins I call them on the 29th at 0800 and asked \"How much is my bill\"? She goes $298.75 I said \"I forgot about the mins and my phone line is out with AT&T and its still not working.\" The girl goes \"Ok sorry for your problems how about doing this, I change your plan to the 1400mins a month and that way I can Cut you bill in half\" I said \"Thank God for Version\" She says \"Your a Great Customer and we're here to help!\" Well the March 7th deadline goes by this time so I call repair again \"My phone is still out\" The lady goes \"What? I said Your cable has been out since January and I was told it would be fixed now is it going to be fixed?\" The lady says \"We've NEVER HAD A CABLE OUT THAT LONG\" I don't believe it\" so I tell her to look up the records, she is still going ,\"On and On about \"We never have a cable problem like that in her 15 years and its MY LINE\" Well after getting her to finally to look up the problem she goes \"Well I see it has been out, Well your not only one so what do you want us to do?\" FIX IT! WHAT DO YOU THINK I WANT? She replies \"Settle down, it will be fixed by the 13th or the 17th\" I said I have had more dates on repair than I had with my Wife before we got married She says \"Well it will be fixed be patient \" Well it aint fixed still I call billing, told them I'm not paying my \"BILL THIS MONTH EITHER! The lady says \"No problem ITS zero\" anyway\" I said it can't be \"She says Yes it is, we credited last months to this months bill\" I go I haven't been able to use the phone since January 26th without problems I should have $78.00 on credit still\" She replies \"Well you did get to use your phone until the 26th so that is half a cycle\" I gave up \"Slammed the Phone down!\" So I just got a call from AT&T from the Repair people telling me now \"Well it will be fixed by the 25th\" and call billing to get a refund. So lets see what happens, but de-regulation of \"Airlines, Phone companies, etc... on somethings just never should of happened in my book, no accountability, no nothing it seems Ok I'll put my Box away. Goose, sic your state Department of Public Utilities on 'em. You might even drop a line to the Attorney General's office, you'll be amazed at what happens. OC

Hey 30mm, I'll call \"Gov Blogo\" Maybe I can catch him while hes on his State Jet flying back and fourth from Chicago to Springfield to work everyday The FIRST GOVERNOR EVER in the History of the State NOT TO LIVE IN THE CAPITAL \"Oh, I want my Kids to be close to their Grandparents, so I'll fly back and fourth from my home in Chicago to Springfield everyday at YOUR EXPENSE! In the States Private JET. He's going to be sharing a cell with Ex Gov Ryan after this Resko trial gets over with and maybe another will be Implied too to be involved. Hey...He doesn't only use the jet to commute, he uses it to take advantage of his free Rose Bowl tickets too! Seriously, though, the AG would be your best bet. I would suggest filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, but they have been pretty useless for me. Last time I contacted the BBB, I finally got a response from them 2 1/2 months later about some one else's complaint. By that point I had already spent HOURS on the phone finally getting stuff sorted out because they hadn't acted the first time I had troubles.... grrr. --Raven

Hey Wouldn't you know it, \"The Squeaky Wheel gets the Oil\" . I got a Phone call from AT&T repair at about 17:00 yesterday saying \"Hello Mr \"Goose\" is this xxx-xxx-xxxx\" because it sounds great now! I said \"Oh, Its because you transfered my calls to my cell first thing last month, its my cell phone\". She goes \"Oh, can you go to a phone which has that number and check the dail tone?\" So I get my \"Fat Ass Out of Chair\" go to the wall phone and pick up IT WORKS!!!!!!! She says \"Well thats it\" I said \"Excuse me how about \"Calling me on the number after I switch my transfer off\"? She says \"You mean you want me to call you back?\" I said \"Well Yes, then I'll know, Please, Ok?\" She says \"Ok, give me a few minutes\" She calls back in about 5 mins \"Hows that?\" I said \"Out Standing!!!\" just a hair of static but better than it ever has\" She asks \"Were you in that \"Watseka Area with the bad flooding\"? I said \" North of it but wasn't flooded \" She says \"Very Much Apologize for ANY inconvenience's this has caused and if we need to we will come out and check your cable if you want\"? I said \"No thank-you\" She says \"We worked around the clock to get you back up and running so Thank-you again for your Under standing\" So now I can FAX, talk, use my PHONE!!! I guess I should ask you folks earlier. Now wait until Monday, when I call and say \"Hey since I only got half a month of service this cycle I'll PAY ONLY HALF MY BILL\" Lets see how that floats Goose
