I started my preparation for Halloween 08 this weekend and my theme for this year is “Horror Rock Café”. I gutted a pair of old speakers, and placed Halloween fabric over the speaker holes. I have a red light inside and will route fog through them so they will smoke. I also mounted a small speaker in each so I can play sound through them. I will have a graveyard in the front yard with Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison, ect, and the speakers will be placed there. I will also have a 27” TV in the garage playing clips of Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, and other horror rockers, the soundtrack will be piped through the speakers in the graveyard.

Sorry I could get a better night-time shot of them glowing and smoking but below is the best I could get, believe me they look and sound great!

The speakers are cool. Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, Jim Morrison all died at age 27.

For the graveyard music. Do you know this band? Look to the design of the bass (guitar). I like it, they come from Danmark. Watch the clips and listen to the songs.

Thanks for the clips Dutchy I like it. I'm going to make a disk of bands from my DVD colection, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, Lordi, ect and have it playing in the garage.

Well, I dressed-up a few of my pumpkins for the rock-in-roll party this year. From left to right you have Marilyn Manson, Kiss (with Zigsaw and Korn), and Alice Cooper.

Wow, the pumpkins look great. Are they fake ones painted or do you put some kind of preservative on them?

Racegal, they are fake ones with lights on the inside. I'm going to have them in my "graveyard" lighted in the front by blue lights and fake flames on the inside, should be pretty cool. I've also put a piece of brown gel in one eye of the Manson pumpkin and a piece of blue in the other so they will glow different colors.
