This past year has been rough both financialy and personally. And while I am not an overly sentinmental type, I want to pass along a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and say thanks for all the intelligent and often times meaningless converations that add absolutely nothing to my stress levels, which is a good thing. You guys rock. And to those of you that cant or wont be home for the day because you are serving here at home or in a somewhat rather more obscure location, we love you all and pray Gods blessing and hand on you. ![]() Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I spent mine away from my family (again) TDY, this time up here at Misawa AB Japan, but luckily without any snow! While here, away from my asawa (wife) and home, I had time to reflect and think about what I was thankful for... holy crap, why do I really have to give that much hard thought anyway? I'm thankful for everything in my life, including my life, because lets face it no matter how bad it is, can get, or could be... it could always be worse, and for many around the world, including the good ol USofA it is worse. So, I truly hope you all had a good day. Patrick McGee |

Well said Pat and Billy. Funny how people sometimes take things for granted. Yesterday, I was on the verge of bitching about the quantity of leftovers, even after sending people out of here with food. Stopped myself before I had a chance to vocalize it by thinking to myself \"you're a freakin idiot. Shut the #&#k up and be thankful\". OC |

OC I know exactly what you mean chief. My wife is Filipina originally from Mindanao (northern part of the Catholics, not the southern terrorist state) and her entire family still lives there out in the jungle, in nepa huts, with not even the smallest of what we would call "normal" living conditions. It so so primative it's really hard to describe, they have nothing in our eyes, but everything in theirs and are thankful for it. So for me nowadays I don't complain about much, other than about the boneheads I work with at times and the bonehead crap they do, but day to day living.... nope, not complaining, just thankful for what I have. I hope everyone has good health, happy families, food on their table and a very Merry Christmas the rest of this holiday season. |

Hopefully everyone had a safe and happy thanksgiving. I've been gone for the past week and was just glad to have some time off to relax (and Christmas shop) Hopefully it was special. |
