Well I bought a new laptop and it should be here next week. After what Dice said that pretty much was it. I bought the New Toshiba A355-S6879 Fusion . soft touch key pad (Flat) and yes it has Vista in it ![]() I know that their are better things out there but I had enough trouble learning the one I have so I bought MS Works (Home Small Business) and Outlook 2007 . I t was cheaper than buying them as a \"Suite Version\" so buying them Saturday Morning it was $154 together. I also picked-up a Toshiba Pocket Drive 350G for $118. Now comes the FUN PART, Hooking it up Wireless in the house . I do have a Question Though, Can you run Vista on a Laptop and XP3 Professional on a Desktop using the same router and printer??? I will in time probably loose the Desktop but until then want to use both. Goose |

Shouldn't be a problem Goose. I'm assuming the printer is wireless, yes? The router doesn't care what operating system you're running and neither does the printer. Just make sure your printer software supports Vista. OC |

The printer is \"Ethernet\" I'm using but I do have a Wireless one I have in a box. I do have the VISTA disk for both printers. It has Wireless N card installed b/g/n but no bluetooth but a slot for it. When it gets here I'll look at it and might be sending you and Weasel Boy an email asking for HELP Goose |

Hey Goose, if you are on the way, I'm driving through IL during my roadtrip/move to Las Vegas next week. If you need a hand and aren't TOO far off of my route (it depends on weather right now), I can stop by and give you a hand. |

Goose If my internet skills are still sharp, you live not too far from I-57. I'll be heading down I-55. This will be the 3rd time I've driven that route in the last 2 months. ![]() |

Weasel: Are you taking 55 down to 80 and then cutting across? I have made the drive from Chicago-land to Vegas a couple times myself, not always fun. When you get in and settled, let me know...or even if you need a hand getting settled. I will be leaving town for about a week on the 20th, but other than that i will be around. Goose: We just recently bought a wireless printer and they really aren't too terrible to set up. It was more difficult to dump the settings and start over when I replaced our router though...just remember, as much as you may not want to use it, the manual is usually right! |

55 to 44, 44 to 40. I don't trust my car going through Denver's natural deathtraps. 30MM- I'll be driving right past the arch. |

I'm doing pretty good so far, It actually set-up pretty easy with the Wizard IN VISTA I'm out of range my just enough not to get \"Free Wi-Fi\" from the closest town, so I bought a \"Verizon\" Wireless card\" (usb port) Works Pretty good. Now I'm Totally portable. VISTA well lets just say ------------------- ![]() ![]() ![]() but it's like anything else, you got to get use to it. But since I don't have Cable thru Verizon I have to find another Email server because Hughes.net (Satellite ISP) won't let me use my old email unless I keep my \"Sat. Plus buy an Additional $15 a month Key on top of my LAN connection ($105) . So Verizon was my best choice so now I have to find another Email carrier. The Toshiba A355-S6879 16\" is pretty DAMN COOL!!!!!! it's taking time to get the hang of it but I have 3yr warranty 24 hour replacement /repair at the house even if I drop it \"It's covered or replaced\" up to 4 times in the 3 years plus free Lo-Jack etc... I'm trying Norton 360 for the \"60 day deal\" but I do like Bit defender PRO better. So it's just getting use to it, moving all my \"Bookmarks etc... over\" changing email Address's etc... |

Goose, pm me your address. I have some discs to send you that you can use. I just need to know if you are using just plain Vista, or the 64-bit version of Vista. As far as E-mail, I would just use a hotmail or Gmail account. You don't have to worry about losing your account if you switch service using them. |

Well it's been almost a week, and I'm still using my PC with the Laptop. I'm waiting for my Bitdefender CD to come in I hate Nortan and this has 360 in it and for $78 bucks after the trail period it isn't worth it when I can get the SAME THING for $53 with 3 licneses on Amazon . I;, already running the 2008 version in the PC but they advise not to load it into a Vista Laptop. It's not XP but I'm learning. Goose |

Ok, I'm stumped? I can't log into the WT with my FireFox browser but If I goto IE in Goggle I get in and my PC can log in on Firefox browser with XP I made sure I'm logged out on every computer and then try again and \"Nope\" I confirmed the right Password etc.. It just won't log in on the Laptop with Vista. I can log into EVERY other board except the WT. Any Ideas?? Goose |
