I had a stress test about a month ago. I figured no big deal, had a couple of them over the past 5yrs. Well my regular doc called and said I need to see a cardioligist. I went from thinking all was ok to having two stents placed in my right coronary artery in less than two weeks.

Went in to a heart center in Columbia, SC on Monday for a heart cath. Came out a day and a half later with the stents and a new label, heart patient. I feel real good, in fact I didn't realize I was having trouble breathing until I could breathe again. I have to start cardio rehab next week and I am now on a couple more meds than before but all in all I am doing well.

The scary part is my previous stress tests showed no risk factors and the last one was inconclusive. Good thing I have an agressive doc and good insurance.

So you are a heartpatient now. Not so good for you and family. Bad news. Everything is little different from now. Now you remember everyday that you got it, but in the near future when you can do more and more, with help of cardiogym, you remember it alone when somebody ask you about it or when you see your body in front of a mirror.
If i talk rubbish about this? No, i am patient for 35 years, last of 4 open heart operations was in may 2009.
Take the time to get in shape and to make progress. Don't worry, everythng is gonna be alright. Never head down, keep your head up.

Wow fender, glad you are feeling better now. Watch your salt intake and things should be well. Thank heavens for good doctors.

It always sucks when they find something, but it suck worse when they miss something. Glad they caught it before it got too bad and even more glad that you're on the mend. 8)
