As many here may know, I spent the better part of my 27 years of AF/ANG service as a CATM Instructor. Since then, I've been a Drafter for the Antarctic Program. Well the contract for the program is up for re-bid and the business models have changed significantly, to the point that I'm not feeling all warm and cuddly about my future prospects with the program. Engineering Jobs in the Denver area seem to have pretty much dryed up, yes I've been looking. But this past Sunday in the Denver Post classifieds I found an ad for Thorton Police Department, here just north of Denver, has posted an opening for an Armorer. The job description reads almost exactly like my old CATM slot and the pay is almost identical to my current position. So last night I updated my resume and applied for it. I just hope I don't jinx it by telling about it.
