Last week I was in Belgium for the Remembrance on 11-11-2010.
I visit a few monuments, trenches and cemetaries.
Some pictures that I made are placed on a site about the war.
First pics are from a British Comonwealth cemetary by Mesen.
In Mesen was Hitler helped by a war wound, it was in the dungeon of the local church. I visit that too.

The next pics are trenches and (inside) bunker. The crater is made in the underground war. This is the garden of the hotel what you see in some pics.

I go next year again.

@ I RIDE A PALE HORSE, I was also this year in Normandy for the D-Day beaches. If you want to go there. You must stay in a hotel in Caen, big beautifull city. And from there you can visit the whole coast line and the villages as St Mere Eglise (the village where the para jumper was stuck on the church tower). At evening you can eat in Caen and going out in the many bars and pubs (Irish). They have a big castle, also for visiting.

Have a nice wartrip when you planned to go.

Thanks for the pics Dutchy! Both of my Great Grandfathers were in Europe in the trenches during WWI and luckily came back home. This is almost becoming overlooked since there aren't many WWI veterans left.
