Hard to believe 8 years ago I was a punk-ass cadet posting on this forum, wishing for the day I would fly A-10s. ![]() Now I'm a slightly less punk-ass Capt, flying KC-135s in the desert. It's good to see a lot of familiar names on the board, even if you guys don't remember me at all. Anyway, yesterday we refueled some Hawgs, and it put a tear in my eye so I thought I'd drop by and see if this forum still existed and whatnot. Glad to see you guys up and well! (was originally usafa02, but I guess I changed my username to poke at some point) |

Welcome back Poke. I remember you. Good to hear you are serving and safe. Flying the KC-135 may not be as glamorous as flying the Hog, but at least you're flying. Without Crew Chiefs, Engines, Hydrolic, Sheet Metal, and Avionics, the planes don't fly. Without Weapons, they'd have no reason to fly. Without inflight refueling, they couldn't get to the fight, stay as long, or get home to fight another day. We all do, or have done, our part to get the steel on the target. Good-on-ya Mate! Fair Winds. |

Haha, if it ain't Boeing, I ain't going! ![]() Where is 30MM Jr these days? That would be funny if I knew him, and didn't know it! And since I've been gone, I've learned all kinds of new skills: Your hole is our goal. Our boom is long, our gas is wet. Come up for a time you won't forget! Slipping you a wet one from the back... Yup, full-on dirty aircrew these days. ![]() |

I know the maintanence folks feeling about KC-X, but just wanted to make sure the officer corp was on board. ![]() Quote: Where is 30MM Jr these days? That would be funny if I knew him, and didn't know it!
You probably don't as he's IL Air Guard. But since '03 he's been to the Azores, Krygystan a couple times, Guam, etc. If any of those garden spots sound familiar drop me a PM or email and I'll send you his name over public, .mil, NIPR or SIPR. |
