So does anyone else out there have t-mobile as their cell phone carrier?

I'm concerned with the soon to be take over of ATT, not really sure what i should do. My contract is up soon and i'm not sure if i should get in to another one or not... Can Att just alter a contract when they take over?

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

They can't alter a contract b/c of a takeover, but when it's up for renewal, it would go by their terms, for better or worse.

They can alter the level of service you've been getting from T-Mobile though, dragging it down to AT&T standards (that is, total crap). So it probably wouldn't be a terrible idea to jump ship anyway.

Thats what i thought, but i still don't like it. Ugh there is always something with these companies anymore. I initially took t-mobile because of the low cost for use, and all the other companies i checked out are still higher for the plan i have now.

AT&T is hit and miss...when I'm home the coverage is great...when I'm down at Moody it's TERRIBLE...at the base or in town. When I'm in St Louis visiting family it's great, when I'm in Buffalo, NY it sucks....

I would do research to see how AT&T is in your area and if you don't travel much and it meets your needs no need to jump ship (yet anyways).

So far I've had really good luck with Sprint and Verizon. Verizon tends to get better overall reviews from Consumer Reports. YMMV

I have AT&T, coverage is fine in Valdosta and on base, but really bad in Ray City. It's non-existent in Brunswick. 80% of the time I have \"no service\" and a really crappy/intermittent connection the rest of the time.
