Hey folks,
As you may know, I got laid off about 3 months ago, yeah it really sucks, and over those months haven't even gotten a call back, and it feels like I'm throwing my resume down a black hole. With Colorado's unemployment system that loves to drop you after each payout, then you have to reapply and wait about a month to get another payout so they can drop you again, I've needed to get some positive cash flow. So, I've started turning again. I try not to get too dizzy.
This is my first production run.
From left: Zebra wood mechanical pencil and pen, Purple Heart Pen and Pencil, Kingwood Pen, Curly something pen and pencil, and a Lignum Veitea pen and pencil.
The lignum set was actually a gift for my wife. It was turned from a cut off short left over from a shadow box I'd built in memory of her mother who'd pasted away a few years ago.
On average, I was putting in about 2 hours each. With a little practice, I hope to get it down to about 1&1/2 hours. I plan to sell these for about $30 each. Material and hardware costs are about $10 each.
Wish me luck.
