I'm going on a ghost hunt with a local paranormal team. We will be hunting in one of the most famous and haunted locations in Utah...the Ogden union station! We will be going on the 20th of July, this is going to be so fun. Wish me luck on capturing something cool!

Good luck Dice! While I was out there a couple years ago there was a TV paranormal team (I forget which one) at one of the old hotels in Ogden. I haven't seen it on TV, but they were there...lol.

Ghost Hunters have been to the Union Station and the old Ben Lomond hotel.

I could introduce you to a building in Downtown Ogden that will introduce to you the bootlegger and gambling underground tunnels. I fell upon it in happenstance. A friend of mine that was an attorney had bought a building for use as a rental property. We were walking through it and went into the sub levels. turns out the place was once owned by a seamstress company, we found vintage sewing machines and crates of U.S. Navy watch caps from WW1 era Pre 30's. then we noticed a wall that had some old groat and cement work. So out of curiosity we smashed the wall. We were shocked to see tunnels. It turns out the city had all these tunnels closed off back in the 40 and 50's Sealing off that old underground seedy part of Ogden History. Some would be reopened and turned into fallout shelters during the height of the Cold war. The whole section from the Railyard up 26th, to 23rd to the opposite side from Wall to Washington blvd. was an underground manufacturing complex. these tunnels were used to efficiently run supplies to the train yards. they were also used for underground brothels, gambling and bootlegging.

Man I had fun last night and we went deeeeep under the station and saw the tunnels first-hand. The one leading east towards 25th street was walled-off but, We were so far under we could hear music from the bars on the street above! I'll post some pics later tonight or tomorrow.

I used to date a girl that liked to go ghost hunting. We'd get all dressed up in black and she'd have cameras and crap all draped all over her.

She liked when i went cause i would strap a honking big pistol to my hip when ...complete with 'silver' bullets (the bullet jacket is shiny silver in color, not real silver- but she didn't know any better). LOL

Where are you living now dice?

Part 1 of my trip to Ogden's haunted Union Station with The Paranormal Research Group of Utah is now posted. This is 1 hour and 32 mins of a real paranormal investigation. Part 1 covers the set-up and investigation of the upper floors of the station. Part II (which will be posted soon) will cover the lower floors including the vault room and deep under the station itself. This is not a movie or TV show but a real investigation which I think you may enjoy. There is also a webpage which contains pictures, EVP's and videos from that night, It can all be found here.... www.utahhatu.com
