Very well written. Heart, soul, and passion cannot be manufactered. You nailed the three wire with that criteria, your inside perspective would be hard to match by the best of authors. Well done; you ought to consider writing when you are retired.

If you are not having fun, you are not doing it right!

Thanks guys it was fun to do and brought back some great memories! Great story, Dice! I'd loved to have seen an F-4 do a tailslide. You definately made me feel like I was riding along with you.

Now Dice how did you almost blow up the flightline. Tell us as long as it is not classified or giving others dangerous ideas.

mattlott, not classified just stupid <img src=icon_smile_blush.gif border=0 align=middle> Punched a hole..well more of a rip...in a 600-gallon centerline fuel tank of an F-4E one night. There was 600-gallons of JP-4 flowing under a whole line of F-4s and one small spark (with all the fumes) could have fired-up the whole flightline! Maybe I'll tell you about it someday!! <img src=icon_smile_shock.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_approve.gif border=0 align=middle>
