..during Iraqi Freedom! I just visted the main page (haven't been there in a long time ) and saw all the news, updates, clips and info on the A-10 during the past month. Great job keeping everyone infomed and giving the Hog it's "face time"...Kudos to you, Sniper, and prkiii for all y'all's hard work. Ugly but well hung! http://www.warthogpen.com |

Thanks! It's really the Hog, the pilots and the crews that deserve all the credit though. They're the ones making the news and I just pass it along. Especially Killer Chick and her damaged Hog. Someone e-mailed me those pics and I posted them on the front page. A couple days later, Neal Boortz gives out the web site address on his nationally syndicated radio show and the site traffic went through the roof. Pre-war, we'd get about 1,000 unique visitors each day. Once the war started, it climbed to about 4,500 per day. When he gave out the address, we had 26,000 visitors on 4/10 and 31,000 on 4/11! Most of you must have the forums bookmarked directly rather than the main site. I goofed up some of the settings on the web site a couple days ago and it was down for several hours before I noticed. No one said anything and people were still posting here. The main site is hosted on a server in Redmond, WA, while the forums are hosted on my own colo server in Santa Rosa, CA, which is why people were still in the forums. BTW, Warthog Pen looks very nice! I've had the same layout on this site since 1996 and I've been thinking about a facelift. Nothing's coming to mind though and it may just freak everyone out if I mess with it. --- Pete Nelson Your Warthog Territory Webmaster |

Thanks Pete, I still have a lot of work to do on the Hog Pen but it's comming along, in fact I should have the story of the NAWs/two-seater finnish by this weekend. I'm pretty sure most here do have the forum bookmarked and come directly here and not through the main page, that's why I always post a note on the forum when I update my site so everyone knows something new is there. I would say a "faselift" would not be a bad thing, don't get me wrong, It's great the way it is but, there are a lot of very nice, fuctional designs out there.
