Just shows how deadly pesticides can be, especially the high grad pestcides Iraq has buried everywhere. Just as deadly as a nerve military nerve agent if applied right.

250 cattle poisoned in Nebraska

RICHLAND, Nebraska (AP) --The carcasses of 250 cattle that apparently had been poisoned were found at a feedlot in eastern Nebraska, authorities said Monday.

The state patrol was investigating the deaths near Richland, about 60 miles west of Omaha, with the Colfax County Sheriff's office, the state Department of Agriculture and the University of Nebraska.

"We don't really know if it's accidental or intentional yet," said Terri Teuber, a spokeswoman for the state patrol.

The cattle were owned by Jack Barta of Fremont, who said he was told of the deaths Sunday morning.

Barta said one possibility was that the cattle were poisoned by organic phosphate, commonly used as an insecticide, because about 30 that survived were responding to a drug used to combat nerve gas in soldiers.

He said the chemical could have been put in the cattle feed intentionally or could have come from a mislabeled sack of mineral supplement.
