Hey sorry if anyone has already done this, but i am too lazy to look. Anyone here have an experience with UFO's? I haven't but my dad's friend used to be in the Navy and was flyin for TWA in 95 and saw somethin real freaky. ATC couldn't figure it out, and his copilot that day saw it too. He is writin a book i think, but i haven't talked to him for about a year. BTW, this is already on the Lo-mac forum. Edited by - jetman on Jun 26 2003 9:09 PM |

ha, I think there were strings, or u wouldn't be able to identify it. no but seriously, i am planning on goin to phoenix soon, and was gonna check out those lights everyone sees there. Anyone see those? I know someone said about those recent ones like in 97, where the gov claimed it to be flares from a-10's, but i doubt it. I think there are still some there. Anyone know? Don't recall seeing any myself. Have heard however, from someone who owns a cabin in South America. That you can sit on the front porch at night and watch the UFO's flying around Machupichu.(sp?) I worked night for several years and all I ever saw was shooting stars. Sometimes during the year you get a load of them for about a week. I've seen a hundred in a night. I would have seen more I'm sure but I had a job to do.... I forget what they call those when those cosmic dust storms come through.... The last one was one of those years they thought it would be really heavy (every 10 year phenomenon type thing). They though it was going to tear up the solar panels of many satellites. But like most predictions, it never happened… Hey sniper, here's an alien for you.... <img src="http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/AndyPage/alien1.jpg" border=0> Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. |

Leonid and Pesied (spelling) meteor showers CC, many of the sats had thier panels turned to a less vulnerable angle at the height of the showers. I saw the video of those Phoenix Phlares LOL and since I see them over at the fort from time to time I can say that YES they are just flares, but they are NOT the IR spoofing flares, they are illumination flares that have small parachutes attached to them so they stay in the air longer. The OA-10 and AC-130s both dispense these things and I can say they are BRIGHT from MANY miles away. In north Idaho tracking satellites out on a dock, and I saw one heading west to east make a a near-90-degree turn and head due south. Looked just like your standard satellite, no blinking and a fast and steady velocity. It just...turned. A sucking chest wound is life's way of telling you to slow down... |

bout like mine Horry, but mine was in the afternoon, it was in front of storm clouds moving in from the north so even though it looked and had the speed (or lack thereof) of a sat it wasnt, didnt change direction just kept heading northeast. I watched it for quite a while but had to get back to "battening down the hatches" because of the storm, sure wish I had watched it longer. My moms sighting was cool though, she was returning about 8:00PM from a tax prep course when she got on our road and tured right she noticed over her left shoulder in the direction of town something bright in the night sky, she stopped and looked at it for a minit then highballed it to the house. She pulled down the drive and started honking the horn, dad and I jumped out the door to see what was going on. She was screaming for us to get in the car and go see, but she wouldent say what. We got in and sped off, of course by then nothing was to be seen. Afterwards she described it as looking kinda like a snare drum (she was a drummer in the highschool marching band)it had lighted panels on the outside that changed colors which she said made it look like it was rotating (but she didnt feel it was actually rotating). It had been hanging low over town or at leaste in that direction. We were a little spooked but eventually went to bed. When I woke up the next day I instantly knew what had happened. There is a water tower on the other side of town and you can see it from our driveway if you look down the road that way. It is cylindricle and I figured they were probly working on it last night or some kids were pranking. I went out to the mailbox to confirm the sight lines and sure enough the tower was right where I figured, was feeling pretty smug and superior and got in the car to go down and confirm the location of the sighting and to check that the tower would be low over town from there. Only problem is, when you get down the road that far and before you even turn the corner, the hill that town is on TOTALY obscures the water tower, it's not only below tree level it is below ground level!! No way in the world she saw the water tower that night so we still dont know what it was. LOL Hey 'Bingo', what say we take the little alien to the titty bar? Bet it'd do wonders for intergalactic relations, hehehe. Well, unless it's in Utah.... When I used to live up in Scotland, we where about 20 miles from Scotland's UFO hot spot, a place called Bonnybridge. Here you would get weekly reports of UFO activity… Now call me a cynic but… 1) Bonnybridge is well known as the hooch drinking capital of Scotland. 2) Bonnybridge is under the flight path for Glasgow international airport. Go figure… "A .44 magnum beats 4 Aces everytime..." |
