There's a section for the Navy now? Change is good and I have respect for all branches of the Armed Services but the whole theme of the site is changing.

I dunno...I can see Diceman's point to a degree. Pete added the Firearm Section, it is his site, and he is a firearm enthusiast. But, we have a diverse group here as well. The site is growing, and no matter what, it still has the theme of the A-10. This could be a good thing, it makes more people aware of the A-10, and what that community has to offer.

I guess I'm just not in a good mood today (sick) and to see the site change without notice kinda' made me mad. Don't know why, I mean it not my site and I did quit the modorator job but, I do feel an attachment to it. I'll come back later if I feel better.

LOL, it's OK to be crusty and grumpy Top, you ARE an E-8...it's expected. ;)

If it don't go over well, then we'll dump it, but Chad and the other sailors i'm sure will really like it. I asked pete for it for those guys...not for me. Notice there is no Army section here, i'm easy to please. ;)

Go kick the tires on some lawndarts out on the flightline, you'll feel better...i promise :)

What do you mean we have it backwards? Damn Grunts are pulling MP duty here and I be doggone if I can tell if the joker on the gate ranks me or me him. What is that old saying? Don't confuse your rank with my authority. Well they have the M-16's so their authority trumps my rank.

By the way Snipe the grunts here just did their Spur Ride and some of our SP's went along for the ride and made it. The oldest guy from the guard to complete the whole course is their First Shirt. He is 55 years old.

Outstanding. I take it the old fella is pretty squared away.

I like that line in the Kelsey Grammer submarine spoof movie where he tells the admiral "You are not a superior officer, merely a higher ranking one."

M-16's out trump most things on base that you don't have to sign for, lol.

In the Marine Corps there is a Standing 12 General orders for sentries, that all marines are required to memorize as if life depended on them, However when i was a young reserve marine we also had a 13th.

"Walk your post from flank to flank, but dont take no shit from any rank"

Its probably been the best advice throughout my whole military career.

However it dont work to well in civillian life...They have a nasty way of makeing you worship your paycheck like its some type of deity

I disagree Sgt. Goose. Unions to me have only crippled our industrial strength in this country, I admire how U.S. AutoWorkers can only work 7 months out of the 12months because they are on strike, and not satisfied with their highwages. Then wonder why an honest hard working middle class family cant seem to buy a new car because the domestic automakers raised MSRP another 8000, to recoup their losses in profits.

The unions are no differnt than the Communists, in fact their charter is the same "Workers of the world will unite."

Capitalism is what keeps our country strong and the root of that is competition. If we are so lazy and selfish that we feel we need to sue large major corporations to make a better life for ourselves well then we need to look in the mirror and realise we have become weak and lazy.

At the end of my pay period i find i have a low paycheck, then i have no one else to fault than myself. I need to invest in myself. Because in the end its my responsebility and nobody elses.

I wonder who is worse, the Prick supervisors or the jackass union guys that think they need to terrorise coworkers to meet their political goals.

I agree with Mudd on that one...Labor unions breed complacentcy. I was a supervisor at UPS and couldnt fire some lazy ass that had " tenure senority" over some hardworking kid working his butt off to put his way through college. The single biggest factor that seperated us from the communist, was the fact that the US worker gained incentive for working hard, and producing a quality product, labor unions dilute that incentive, and reward the lazy and the meek...
