For any of the old 70th guys and maybe more out there that knew him, Kurk Sturdivant, (egress troop) was laid to rest this past Tuesday from complications resulting from brain surgery. He was diagnosed some time back with cancer in his brain. Two weeks or so ago he was operated on and was at home when the death occured. He was in good spirits, and almost no discomfort until the fatal incident occured. It was told it was most likely a seizure of some sort that was the cause.
