Actually their is only 1 bullet used, the others are blanks. Those that are assigned to the detail practice with live ammo, and "act out the procedure." The Day the Capital punishment is carried out. The "firing squad detail is handed preloaded rifles. This is done for psychological reasons, for both The marksmen and those that witness the act. |
