How bout some new names for the new Strike fighter

In my game patch I called it the Thunderhawk since there is a Republic lineage there.

Now I'm wondering about <i>Marauder</i> since I love the Mercury Marauder

Crusadaer does fit with our current war on terrorism. F-16 was the first Eurotrasher..for only those that didn't have access to the F-16 bought the Mirage.

it's not the names I have trouble with TG, it's the II III IV stuff that makes me nutz, I just hate it, who calls the Phantom, Phantom II? authors mostly lol. I think it's too soon for Crusader again, let the Gunslinger have a few more years in the rockin chair before we use it again.

hearing about the JSF, I am not totally convinced about it, though it is, from what I have read about it, a seemingly good fighter, I can not see what is wrong with the original VTOL jet, the British Aerospace Harrier/ MacDonnell.Douglas AV8.

however if it does come into service, Perigrine seems a decent name, after all, 3 of the the best fighter aircraft so far of the jet era have had the names of birds of prey, Harrier, Falcon and Eagle.

I am doubtful of the reliability of the doors on the fan at the front, also the fan bay is so high it cuts out pilots vision to the rear. a good fighter plane should really have good all round vision.

they made the fan about as short as they could and that drove the canopy problem(the currant style is stealthier as well), besides they're deepening the fusalage another 2 inches for more fuel(probly mostly for the STOVL version, and to help relieve the tanker duties as much as possible). I'm sticking with <i>MARAUDER</i> due to the Martin heritage at Lockmart

I dont even know who Vought(spell?) got folded into!! They probly wouldent release the name if they arnt in on the F-35. Plus it's just too soon for it to be taken from the mighty F-8.
