The thing about tying his shoes though... He wouldn't. Things like that, and combing his hair (obviously) were of no importance to him. He rationalized that they were a waste of time. His thoughts were that you were going to have to untie your shoes at some point, so why exert energy to do something you're going to undo later? Your hair will get messed up throughout the day and at night while sleeping, so why fix it?
