Hey guys notice all the news breaking on the enriched uranium found in Iran, interesting is the UN, French, Russia, and Germany threatening Iran. I just want to know with who's assets in the region are they making this threat with.

Hint I think they want to borrow the 3 ID.

I am so disgusted with things right now its hard for me to comment on this...

I will say this, NATO is quite possiably at its worst since it was fouded in 1949. There was not enough foward thinking in the warm and fuzzy 90's to make it a viable option in todays war on terrorism. Its even more redundent when you consider that the Balkans, Chechneya, and Iraq were all major issues even in the early 90's. Sept 11 should not have caught the world as flatfooted as it did. Clinton borrowed a page from socialist Europe's script and attempted to create major socialist reforms (remeber free healthcare?) at the expense of what? You guessed it, the military, he forgot one thing along the way...As the worlds only peacekeeper and superpower, we need our military, because unlike France, Germany, Canada..etc...We have no big brother in the United States to keep our integeraty as a soveirn nation. Free healthcare is easy and affordable when you have one CVBG, airforce the size of the Maryland ANG, and no expeditionary commitments...

Uncle Sam as been bouncing the roadhouse for free for far to long.

The 90's was the biggest errosion in our countrys ability to remain a dominant beneign superpower, than in anytime in our history.

The Clinton Administration dealt a deck that the current administration simply can't play the game with, and the fact that Rummy is a retard, who should be wearing a football helmet to keep his damn foot out of his mouth... and is not listening to his chiefs, who ironicaly come from that cadre of offcier corps that spilled blood in Vietnam under MacNamara's watch...

North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Liberia, Indonesia...

Hey guys your missing my point I am not advocating war, I am just point out how the UN, French, and Germans threatening and with what the big bad american in the neighborhood. I think this should be leveraged by use to force them to help in Iraq.

I agree atleast in Korea the South Koreans would help.

I just find it disgusting how these nations want us to do their fair share of the fighting for them.

I think Iran is a place where a conflict can be won in the backroom rather than the front line. As for Iran Boomer....Most of the populus, the women especially remember the reforms under the Shah, and his pro-western regime. Women were allowed to vote, drive, wear western style clothes, they pretty much had the same lifestyle and rights as women do in the United States. Iran was then a very progressive society. I have a pic I am going to e-mail you Boomer...if you can, post it on this thread, because it is very approriate to the topic at hand. I found it to be very awe inspiring and it illustrates what the people of Iran not only endured from the war with Iraq, but from the opressive regime that deposed the Shah.

I came across the pic above while doing some research on Iranian F-14 operations in the Iran/Iraq war. Those men in the pic are no more advanced in age than their mid 30's at the oldest. Most of them were imprisoned for being loyalists to the Shah, and sympathsizers to the west. They were kept alive (barely) for one reason, and that was their profiency with the F-14. They were trained by Grumman/USAF, and USN people, endured beatings, purging of their countrymen and fellow Imperial of Iran Air Force officers and comrades in arms. These men in that pic are not only war weary from flying countless sorties against Iraq, but from the treatment they recieved from the hardline Khomeini regime. But they continued to fight, not for their opressive governing shiite regime, but for their people, and homeland...Warriors in the truest sense. Most of them that survived were sent back to prison despite their Mirage and Mig killing exploits of the Iran/Iraq war. Some escaped to the west....This is just a single example of the situation in Iran.

How close is Iran's border to Chechnya? Russia going there as well. That might double, or triple the beating thier getting from a breakaway Republic the size of New Jersey.

And France is helping them??? Germany might make some progress though. We'll have to see how this plays out.
