By my calculations he was about 20 knots away from a mode 2 ejection.......and the same fate as the jet.......strewn across the infield. Very lucky dude. "face it....perhaps your only purpose in life is to serve as a warning to others!" |

Pete, the leading edge flaps are a function of airspeed and angle of attack. Pilot has no control of the function of them. It shows a high angle of attack for them to be that far down (no doubt from a high sink rate). Sorry Mudd......I must have posted the same time as you.
