Hi all,

We just started a website for our enjoyment while we're here.
It's based on our Port-o-potty that we adopted. So far, 6 celebrities have signed it during their visits from the USO.

Here's the link: http://www.gutshouseofchili.com

Hope you like it. It's still a work in progress.

In the address bar just type www.gutshouseofchili.com, it'll work

Working link.

http://www.gutshouseofchili.com

Lessons learned: A URL without Http:// is like ammo without a gun.

Sorry, first time posting a URL.

And just so everyone knows, it's not really about the "House of Chili" itself. It's for us to showcase our achievments to our families and to show them how things are over here.

(By the way, that's me by the Huge hole in the ground in the photo gallery. EOD makes the coolest fireworks!!)

In the gut4 shot: If that's the DHL plane in the background, I sure as heck wouldn't want EOD setting off charges while the mail plane is around! And in the Weapons Flight shot: I see they got "Moby Dick" back up again. Sucker broke it's tether while I was there, just floated away!

I've been trying to zap "Moby" since we got here! For being so big, that thing sure is elusive. And the DHL bird was definately far enough away. EOD had some fun with something our new ramp buddies had a problem with. Still cool to see though. We parked the expediter truck as close as we could (according to EOD), and zoomed to get that. We were listening for the countdown, and out of the 5 cameras we had out there, that was the ONLY pic we got of the actual detonation.

As I recall, EOD wasn't exactly the most time sensitive bunch...an 0630Z event could happen anytime 20 minutes before or after! It was the big unannounced ones that got your attention though!

Yeah, we're working on it. It was unfortunately painted over (after we got the pics). They will be up soon.

Also, we'll have pics of my Chinhook ride I went on yesterday!

30MM: We had an un-announced one while we were at the NDFAC. It was cool until the Army started running out the door!

No snipe, not here! I actually found out that Army aviation isn't so bad after all. Chinhooks are really a nice ride. Someday, i'll figure out how to post pics here.

Two weeks before I shipped home I got a chance at a Blackhawk ride. Armed recon over Kabul. Kinda fun to be the only game in the sky and fly as low as they wanted. On the way back they asked if we'd mind stopping by the firing range so's the door gunners could practice. All they needed see was the $hit-eating grin on my face. Glad the K-pot was on, though...got pinged once with an ejected case!

Chinooks are pretty cool. Very smooth ride considering what it is you're flying in.

CrashHawks were never my favorite though...

They have the mini's in your hawk, or just .50's Rob?

Negative on the gun. No big deal though. Pics are being posted on the house of chili site.

30mm: Sure you can't!! LOL
