Longer Answer. It used to be pilot-selectable. But due to vibrations caused by the low rate of fire, the switch is now hardwired in both positions to high rate of fire.

Hasn't the high rate been reduced from 4200 to 3900rpm though, at some point?

No Sniper the high rate is still 4200 RPM (that's Rounds Per Minute), the low rate just caused more problems than it was worth, jams, vibs, and other issues, so it was taken out.

OK, i thought the high rate was 3900rpm now.
