Thanks, Snipe, never doubted you for a moment! Didn't want those tires anymore, anyway, did ya?! Since all the smoke is on the starboard side, I take it the port tire isn't running?!

Hajji, you can run, but why die tired?

The wind was blowing port to starboard.

If you look in the pic of the white car you will see too very fresh tirepatches...one for each tire. :)

Yeah, I noticed; was just thinking in terms of that infamous Hog shot that stirred up the running engine 'controversy'! And I think the 2nd pic is actually the 1st pic taken...unless you're in reverse and the marks are from the brakes! btw, was the photographer trying out for the Darwin Award?

The photographer was my Repo partner Rich.

After many rides in the 928 he has 100% confidence in it's braking system, lol. ;)

You're right about the order the pix were taken in. Fucking data analysts...Can't get nothing by em. ;)

So should BR and I put a new spin on an old saying? *ahem!* If you need something done right. Don't trust Snipe.

Hey, what's all these references to BR? I want the casing, but I'm not making any waves... I'm good with the 160 link of M-16 bullets that I got recently. Plus a shitload of 7.62's, 7.63's, and .50's. My friend came back from reserves a couple weeks ago with goodies...

Yeah, 7.63s. Small little pistol rounds that look like a 9mm but obviously aren't 9mm.

The box sed 7.63. Speaking of which, does the M-1 Carbine shoot 7.63 or 7.65? I've asked a few people and gotten both answers.

.30, which is 7.62.

7.65 is .32

7.63 is a new one on me.

Plenty about it online. Seems like it was a WWII Mauser handgun round later used in Ruger guns.

Boomer- Check "Cartridges of the World" 8th edition, 1997, by Frank C. Barnes; page 241.

30 (7.63X25) Mauser

"The 30 Mauser cartridge was developed by American gun designer Hugo Borchardt for the first successful commercial, automatic pistol of the same name. The Borchardt pistol was made by the Ludwig Loewe & Co. (later DWM) of Berlin, Germany. Both pistol and cartridge were introduced in 1893. The Borchardt automatic pistol was later redisgned and emerged as the well-known Luger pistol. This cartridge was adopted by Paul Mauser for his famous Model 1896 pistol with increased power for his more rugged design. It has been used mainly in the Mauser1896 military automatic pistol and various imitations or copies manufactured in Spain and China.

Until the 357 Magnum cartridge came along, the 30 Mauser was the high-velocity champion of the pistol world. It has a flat trajectory that makes long-range hits possible, but lacks stopping power because of the light, full-jacketed bullet. However, it has been used successfully for hunting small game and varmints at moderate ranges. If handloaded with softpoint or hollowpoint hunting bullets, it performance can be improved a great deal. At one time, both Remington and Winchester loaded this caliber, but it has been dropped. Fresh supplies of this caliber are being imported from Portugal by Century International Arms."

Now, wth does this have to do with Snipe's burnout?

Hajji, you can run, but why die tired?
